Product care

All Lolliette products are handcrafted from the highest quality genuine soft leather. Our leather is hand-dyed  which may cause slight colour variations.

When buying shoes from different batches there may be a variation of colour by  1-2%. This is within the acceptable norm and is not treated as a defect. Lolliette strives to present the colours to the best of our ability.

We highly recommend you spray your new leather product with a leather protector and continue to condition with a leather cream as this will protect the longevity of the shoe and maintain the suppleness and clear complexion of the leather.

Please do not condition or moisturise metallic leather. Be aware that light coloured leathers or suedes mark easily, so extra care should be taken.

Do not expose your leather shoes to the sunlight for long periods of time. Please store your flats in the storage bag provided with your purchase.

Whilst wearing your wondrous shoes please follow our care guidelines to ensure the comfort, longevity and appearance.

How to clean my Lolliette leather shoes

Please use a leather conditioner or polish regularly to nourish your leather. Like your own skin cleaning the leather will help retain the lifespan and durability.

If worn regularly, leather should be polished once a month to preserve the look. If they get dirty pat them over with a damp cloth and allow to air dry.

How to clean snake skin

Before wearing your lovely new snake skin shoes be sure to waterproof them and leave to dry overnight.

Be extra careful when wearing your snake skin shoes in bad weather and dirty terrain as water will damage the snake skin and may cause the coloured dye to run.

Wipe down with a clean damp white cloth in the same direction of the scales. Allow them to naturally dry.

Snake skin scales are prone to lifting so take care when treating these. This is a normal characteristic of this leather.

To help maintain their original look through time you could use a Lanolin-based leather conditioner. This will help prevent the scales from becoming brittle and drying out. Make sure you do a test patch first.

Please store your snake skin shoes in the storage bag provided in a cool dry place.

How to clean Pony Hair

Pony hair is regular calf leather without the hair taken off. (No ponies are involved in any way!) It is a delicate leather that must be maintained to keep its lovely state as it will wear over time.

To maintain the skin’s hair it is recommended that you do not wear in bad weather. You must be careful the hair does not rub off.

The pony hair can be wiped down with a damp cloth using mild soap and water. Be careful not to get it too wet.

To remove dirt, brush it down with a hard plastic brush to keep the hair soft and fluffy.  A protective spray is also recommended.

How to clean my Lolliette suede shoes

To maintain the lovely look of your suede shoes please use a water proofer prior to wearing which will seal the shoes, prevent water damage and stains.

Make sure you re-condition these shoes every so often to maintain the look. Test in a small area first.

Be sure to keep suede away from sunlight which will fade the colour and also damp conditions which will aid the growth of mildew and mold.

If your suede shoes get wet be sure to let them dry naturally with no artificial heat source.

Try to avoid wet areas to prolong the life of your suede shoes.
